First Impressions by me:

The first edition of this add-on is really basic but it works smoothly and I am sure that in the near future new features will be added and in few months we all use it very often. Not only to just write a simple “link” post as this one.

For example, I would like to have more features related to image managing, the possibility to insert Tags directly from Docs and other useful commands that I usually use (post format, excerpt, etc…). But… I know… it’s just the first version of the add-on…. And it is really better than the email publishing that I used till few months ago.

Lyx, a multiplatform (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows), advanced document processor

This week, in our Freeware Page, we posted a review about Lyx. Lyx is an wonderful multiplatform (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows) word processor which has many advanced features. Personally I suggest to use Lyx only if you are looking for a powerful freeware which is able to create advanced documents (DVI, pdf in its 7.0 version). The results, you can obtain using Lyx, are amazing and very professional. The first time you will use Lyx you have to spend some hours to understand the different “philosophy” behind this freeware but after the necessary training you are very satisfied about the documents you have created.
